Apart from permissions expressed in our licence agreements or the Copyright Act pertaining to copying for study, review, or research, no part of any publication may be reproduced in any form, or stored in a database or retrieval system, or transmitted or distributed in any form by any means, electronic, mechanical photocopying, recording, or otherwise without written permission from Data Discovery

Freight Policy

The following is a general guide for calculating freight/delivery costs. Freight costs will depend upon time, quantity and distance. Please call our office – 1300 309 744 for an exact quote of costs.

Melbourne

Orders delivered to the Melbourne metro area incur a $12.50 flat rate.

Outer Metro Melbourne

Orders delivered to the Outer Metro Melbourne or Brisbane area incur a $18.50 flat rate.

Country Victoria

1-3 Manuals incur a rate of $16.50
Over 3 Manuals to a max of 20 kilos incur a rate of $25.50
Over 20 Kilos please contact our office for an exact freight quotation.

Interstate – Melbourne to Interstate Capital City

1-3 manuals incur a rate of $16.50 to interstate capital cities
4-6 manuals incur a rate of $22.50 to interstate capital cities
6 + manuals please contact our office for an exact freight quotation.

Return Policy

Our manuals are printed using an on-demand printing service. We cannot accept returns for titles that have been customised in any way (headers, footers, content and covers) or manuals that pre-date our current order form.

Requests for returns will only be recognised up to 10 days from receipt of order.

Goods returned, through no fault of Data Discovery will incur a 25% restocking fee and must be received in a saleable condition. The client must pre-pay freight on all goods being returned and a Returns Authorisation Number must accompany all returns.

The Returns Authorisation number is acquired by calling Data Discovery on 1300 309 744 and this must be obtained prior to returning any goods.

FAQ

How do I find a specific manual I am looking for?

The new website has a number of search options available and we have listed these below:

Option 1. The link on the home page under Welcome to Data Discovery ‘Click here to view our catalogue and price list'. This will allow you to examine all current titles and products. Option one allows you to view the catalogue in its entirety.

Option 2. Allows you to search by application key word. You simply type the key word you have chosen into the ‘Manual Finder’ box that is located in the left hand corner of every page within the website. This search will locate all topics that are associated with that application. For example; type in WORD and you will be able to view every title, in every product range that is associated with WORD including RTO Training Resources.

If you are still having problems finding the product you need, contact our office on 1300 309 744 for assistance. We write all our own manuals, therefore we have a back-catalogue of every title we have ever published. If the version or topic is not listed in the online catalogue, we should still be able to obtain it for you. Special conditions do apply however to older title orders.

Can you customise a manual to suit my requirements?

Data Discovery are able to customise all manuals written by Data Discovery. Customisation is available for purchases of 20 or more manuals and is free of charge for basic changes. Unlike most courseware companies this doesn't just mean headers, footers and covers either.

Is there a discount for buying in bulk?

Yes, for purchases of 10 or more manuals, discounts will apply. View our catalogue for the discount structure. Please contact us for more information and an accurate price for your order.

How long does it take to receive my order once placed?

Orders are processed within 24 hours of receiving it. They are then despatched within
2-3 days and should be received within the week depending upon the destination.

Can I return manuals I have ordered?

Data Discovery can only accept returns that have been incorrectly supplied by us or that we can easily re-sell. Returned manuals must be in a saleable condition. We cannot accept returns for titles that have been customised in any way (headers, footers, content and covers) or manuals that pre-date our current order form. Prior to returning any manuals you must request a Returns Authorisation number. Please call our office to obtain this number. Further information on our Returns Policy can be viewed above.

Can I obtain an Evaluation copy?

Data Discovery would like its clients to be familiar with our manuals. In some cases we may be able to send you a sample copy of the manual you are enquiring about. This allows you to view the manual with the option to purchase it, or return it to us before payment is due.

I am experiencing problems in downloading student files/pricelists and other PDF document

You will need the latest version of Acrobat Reader to view any of our downloadable files. You can get this free of charge by following clicking here.

Student files are .zip files which are automatically opened in Windows XP environment however earlier system software may require Win Zip to be loaded.
